imageMarried with two children, 35-year-old Chanrith Long is one of Journeys Within’s top driver.  After being recommended for a driving job with the FCC in Siem Reap, he moved on to working with JW nearly six years ago. Where is your favourite place to drive?

The countryside. You get to see a lot of views, rice fields and the villages. I like the quiet.

What is the hardest place to drive?

It is hard sometimes in the city [with the traffic]. I just think that I’m okay and I can do this. And

I don’t drive like the the other drivers.  Country side roads can be the worst — big holes, bumpy sometimes it is nasty but I do my best for the guests so they are happy.

What do guests want to talk to you about?

Sometimes they ask about my situation with my family or how long I have been working with Journeys Within.  Sometimes they want to know where I learn my English. I learned from monks and at school.

Do you have a most memorable guest?

Yes. I remember a guest named Tom. We like to talk the whole time. we spent the day joking around and he helped me practice my English.

What do you do on your days off?

I stay at home with my family and play some sports, like soccer. I’m a Man U fan.
