Journeys Within began as both a U.S.-based travel agency as well a ground operator based in Southeast Asia — a combination that earned us our reputation of offering our guests seamless, custom trips and an enjoyable experience from their first contact with our tour consultants to their time exploring this beautiful region with our amazing team in each country.
Not only does Journeys Within offer incredible custom Southeast Asia tours to places such as Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Phuket, Luang Prabang, Hanoi, Hue, Mandalay, Bagan, Angkor Wat and more, we also offer unique opportunities to leave these tourist hubs and get out into the countryside for an authentic experience to get to know the cultures and the people.
And through our connection with Wild Frontiers, Journeys Within is now able to offer our guests even more touring options in Central Asia, India, the Middle East, Africa, Latin America, Europe and more.

Our amazing guides, drivers, and staff all believe in the Journeys Within mission to give our guests the trip of a lifetime.
Founder Andrea Ross still leads guide training tours, so she personally knows every guide working for Journeys Within. Since the beginning, Journeys Within has been a family company, and even as it has grown, this idea of family has remained at its core. We may be spread over seven countries and speak multiple languages, but we’re one team.

What is a Journeys Within tour?
If you read through any of the sample itineraries available on our website, you’ll notice that when you travel with us, we will arrange for an English-speaking local guide to accompany you during much of your time exploring new destinations. We certainly believe in free time to take in a new place without a filter, and can provide as much or as little as requested; however, there is also nothing like having a personal local guide on hand to help explain the cultural, historic or interesting sights in a new place.
