Senior Travel Consultant
Wild Frontiers has an opportunity for a Travel Consultant (TC) to join their team. The Travel Consultant will report directly to the Head of Sales US and be part of the sales team selling Wild Frontiers premium group and tailor-made tours.
Job Description
- Deal with client inquiries by phone, email and website. Inquiries to be managed promptly and efficiently
- Creating tailor-made itineraries and selling tailor-made tours for Wild Frontiers worldwide destinations
- Managing group tour inquiries and selling group tours for Wild Frontiers worldwide destinations
- Developing the product to include new destinations and tailor-made products for the website and tour operation system
- Dealing with and managing overseas suppliers
- Prepare client travel documentation such as pre-departure information, visas, travel letters, etc.
- Assisting in marketing activities such as coming up with ideas for new products, special offers and writing short articles for our monthly e-mail newsletters
- Attend Trade shows and events when required
- Dealing with all customer service calls and complaints
Job Characteristics

- Understanding of what the adventure/cultural traveler wants to experience
- General Knowledge and interest in travel
Experience & Skills Required
- Proficient with Microsoft Word applications and experience using CRM and Tour Operation Platforms
- Experience in an office-based environment an advantage
- High level of integrity and strong client service approach
- Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably with a focus on hospitality & tourism
- Knowledgeable and passionate about travel
- Regional expertise in Southeast Asia or Latin America a plus
- Experience working with travel agents also preferred
- Patient, but persistent approach
- Mustn’t be phased by detail, numbers and deadlines
- Customer service focused
- Able to use initiative and willing to go that extra mile
Working hours
Monday to Friday 9:00am to 5:00pm but flexibility required. Occasionally you will have to attend trade shows and functions as required. Approximately 10 working days may be spent overseas.
