Visitors headed to Siem Reap over the next two weeks are in luck — the Angkor Photo Festival kicked off this weekend at the FCC Angkor. A week-long photographic art smorgasbord, the photo festival celebrates emerging and celebrated photographers from around the world.

Started in 2005, the festival’s daily events give visitors the opportunity to see the world through a different lens. Curated by Francoise Callier, the festival’s program director, this years exhibited works were chosen from  1,000 submissions. The line up features picture from over 130 photographers from all over the world — approximately 75 countries are represented.

Exhibitions are held in venues (both indoors and out) around town, encouraging visits that can fit any schedule. The Angkor Photo Festival is the largest event of its kind in Southeast Asia and the admission to all of its events are free. If you are in Siem Reap over the next two weeks, there is no excuse to miss it!
