More construction updates

Now that the University of Georgia students are gone, construction is back in full swing! The full crew has been back all day, in their skinny jeans of course.

The old pump room is completely gone and has been replaced by the start of a foundation and lots of rebar. I am SO happy the loud pylon pounding machine is gone and never to be heard from again. Now we get to see the buildings take shape, slowly but surely.

The foundation of our new family bungalows

I think the best part of the day is from 11:00-1:00 when they all take a proper lunch break and then a nap. They all bring big lunches, and sometimes a little cooking pot that goes over hot coals. They do small group lunches, and then everyone scatters about the site to sleep for about an hour. They find the weirdest places to curl up, sometimes all on top of each other. Today there was an article in the Phnom Penh Post about the introduction of safety rules for construction companies, but I doubt there are any rules about where they can take naps.

Today's sleeping spot was two wheelbarrows and the path. The path spot is not longer available as of today though, as the fence is back up
