Cambodian country director Narla suprises his wife and breaks new ground on Khmer traditions…
Many Cambodians don’t usually celebrate their birthdays with a party — especially not in countryside. But more and more people in the city are taking up this new tradition. I have moved from my hometown to Siem Reap city for 10 years, so I have learn a lot about the city life and its new customs.
Last week wasmy beautiful wife’s birthday and I have done something very special for her which I never done before! For her previous birthdays I didn’t really do anything to surprise her as I think it’s not really important but now I know this is a BIG deal to make someone you love happy.
Before the birthday start I was thinking of Raffles Grand Hotel d’Angkor. After I have taking to the teams there, they finally gave me a great opportunity to have the amazing dinner experience there on her birthday.
The dinner was set for my wife’s birthday. It was a surprise dinner for her and she had no idea how I made this happen. She even cried when she fpund out what I did it just for her! She is very excited and happy.
The dinner is just for two of us in spice garden at the Raffle Grand Hotel d’Angkor’s property — one of our favourites in SIem Reap. They set up an incredible with table, chair, light, flower, music and more. The staff was amazing and I can’t describe enough about the feel of our experience while we there.
I would like thanks to Raffles team for there hard work for us!
This is a life time experience and one of the best moment for my wife and I. I can´t help thinking that this is an experience our guests would love, and never forget.
Thanks for the memories Raffles!
