Angkor Wat at sunset

By: Narla Phay – Cambodia country director

People from around the world will come to Cambodia with the purpose of visiting the famous temples of Angkor Wat. However, many of the local people of Siem Reap do not visit the temples and see all the details. They think they can visit any time they want, but then just end up driving past the front of Angkor Wat and never going inside.

Luckily for me, 2 weeks ago I made it inside the temples to see all of the details with some friends. We were walking around during the evening when it is cooler and took some photos. This moment made me feel very relaxed after working all week. Sunlight in the evening can make Angkor Wat even more interesting, and make people love this temple.

  1. Thanks for posting this, Narla. Nice to see you looking relaxed and happy. We know what you mean. We live on Kaua’i, one of the most beautiful islands in the world. Most of the locals do not enjoy the beaches.
