We are proud to announce that we have gone plastic bag free at Journeys Within Bed & Breakfast! With a donation of canvas shopping bags from The North Bay Corporation we can now send our staff to the market with reusable bags. Toung and Touch used to come back from Old Market with at least 5-10 plastic bags full of food per day. We now have enough canvas bags so that they do not need to bring back any plastic bags!
In Cambodia most trash is burned in small fires, but plastic is always left behind. We are doing our small part to cut down on how many plastic bags are used, and eventually left to litter the country. We now supply each guest with a cloth bag so that when they are out shopping for souvenirs and gifts they do not need plastic bags for each item.
We hope this inspires you to also cut out as much plastic as you can in your daily life.
