A Way to Help in Japan

Help support Japan with a donation to The American Red Cross and United Airlines will reward you with miles

Thousands of lives have been devastated by the powerful earthquake and tsunami that hit Japan on March 11, 2011. You can assist the response effort by contributing through the American Red Cross and Operation USA.

United Airlines invites you to join their relief efforts in the following ways:

1. Donate to the American Red Cross and we’ll thank you with up to 500 bonus award miles; 250 miles for donations between $50 USD and $99 USD or 500 miles for donations of $100 USD or more. We are committed to awarding a maximum of 5 million combined Mileage Plus® and Continental OnePass® miles, so please donate today.

2. Another way you can help is to donate Mileage Plus miles to the American Red Cross or Operation USA through our Charity Miles program. These miles can be used by both organizations to assist in getting aid workers to affected areas.
