One-day itinerary: Day on Inle Lake

Country: Myanmar

1 Day

Inle Lake, Myanmar: Today you will have a full day on and around the lake. You will see the unique method locals use to row their boats, fishermen with their own style of fishing, floating farms and gardens and a hand-loom weaving cottage with its own showroom.

You will visit Phaungdawoo Pagoda which houses the five most revered Buddha Images in the southern Shan States and Jumping Cat Monastery, called that after its trained jumping cats.

Also make a stop at a family run business making cheroot by hand.

Note: Journeys Within’s one-day itinerary ideas are some of our favorite one-day activities – many of which are exclusive to Journeys Within. We do not book these one-day itineraries by themselves, but only as part of a full tour package.
